In Loving Memory of Patrick Mazola Mwashighadi - Funeral Expenses
It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mazola wa Mwashighadi on December 5th, 2025. His life was tragically and brutally taken away from us just days before he was scheduled to lead a free "Community Art Healing Therapy Workshop". It was to help St Elizabeth Parish residents recover from the trauma of Hurricane Melissa that recently ravaged Jamaica.
Mazola who hailed from Kenya was a cherished father, a bright light in our family, and the communities both in Kenya and his adopted home Jamaica. He was known for his creativity, wisdom, gentleness, kindness, care, mentorship, and dedication to family.
Daddy reached out to those in need and used his artwork as a tool for healing. He gave love freely and without hesitation. Our father's presence brought love, and his memory will continue to guide us.
Our father unexpectedly left us, and we his children and immediate family were not prepared for the financial burden of funeral costs. We are reaching out to the different communities that Mazola belonged to. Please help us give him the dignified farewell he deserves, to honor his memory, and to help Mazola's family grieve without added financial stress. In line with his cultural traditions, his family in Kenya wishes to bury him in his ancestral land.
The Funds will cover the costs of:
• Air tickets to Jamaica for his kids Meloddi and Rodney
• Celebration of Life / Memorial Service in Jamaica
• Repatriation of body for a funeral in Kenya
We humbly welcome any contributions, big or small, and sharing this fundraiser. Together, we can give Mazola the farewell he deserves.
Thank you for your compassion and support as we navigate this difficult time.
"Though they are no longer with us, the love they gave will live on forever"
Fare thee well, Daddy! We love you!
Meloddi, Rodney, and Maguwa
