If you are reading this it is because you are a co-worker, a friend, a church member, a neighbor, or a loved one of the Rodriguez family. I have a favor to ask of you, and I will share that later on. First, I want and have the honor to share something else with you. Join me:
On September 2, 2018 an ecstatic Rodriguez Family shared with the rest of us the news of a sweet new babe on board to join their sweet family. Not only was mom glowing there were 3 giant grins on the faces of Big Sister Myla, Big Brother Adriano and newly promoted big sister Milania their Dad was grinning ear to ear taking the pictures of this moment in the journey of their little family.

Then on September 27, 2018 with the help of some sweet neighbors they were able to have a fun Gender Reveal. The Rodriguez Family giggled and laughed as they squirted one another with Pink silly string and found out that another little girl was coming to join their awesome family!
On October 30th, sweet Mayella was growing right on schedule. She was loved so much already by her parents and siblings. A few days later Amber chose to share some more details of her pregnancy.

Around 13 weeks, Amber started having light bleeding and spotting. An ultrasound found that she had a subchorionic hematoma which is the accumulation of blood within the folds of the chorion or between the uterus and placenta. Another ultrasound around 17 weeks found a placental abruption as well as still dealing with subchorionic hematoma. Her pregnancy was now deemed High Risk. Knowing this information then prompted Amber to share this:
“A couple years ago we decided on a middle name if we had another girl...HOPE”

December 4, 2018 Amber was admitted into the hospital with have Braxton Hicks contractions and still suffering with some bleeding, they decided to keep her for a minimum of 7 days. She and her husband Mario asked for prayers, kept their faith and kept their Hope.

On December 11, 2018 at 8:33pm weighing in at 1lb 12oz and 13.98 inches long at 24 weeks and 5 days sweet Mayella Hope Rodriguez was welcomed into this world. She was born to parents who loved her the moment they knew she was coming to join them and with siblings who could not wait to help mom and dad take care of her, nurture her and love her.

Mayella was a fighter from her very first day on this earth. She was strong. She went to the NICU, and in the NICU she was on oxygen but a low setting. December 12th, she got to be held by her mother and father for the first time. A milestone in this journey. In the proceeding days the Rodriguez family would be faced with many trials, battles and victories. They did so with determination and faith. Unwavering. Mayella got to hear her parents say I love you, read her stories, listen to her father sing to her, and they would see that bring her comfort through her monitoring.
December 21st news was received of Mayella’s heart. They had found out that Mayella had what was known as a PDA in her heart which is a little hole that needs to be closed so blood could travel where it is supposed to. Along with that news they learned of a Grade 3 brain bleed on her left side. Sweet Mayella had a blood infection called MSSA ( most likely caused from her UV line). Mayella also had more drops in her oxygen and heart rate than normal, chronic lung disease and fighting with pneumonia (which was most likely ventilator induced.)

Through it all Mayella was a rock star and such a fighter! Her parents vowed to keep fighting with her, be by her side, hold her every day, pray continuously for her and love her endlessly! Due to flu season, children under 12 were not permitted onto the NICU floor, so her siblings cheered her on from photos and videos shown by mom and dad. Loving her from just a little distance away,

January 9th, 2019 in the morning hours Mayella Hope returned to her heavenly home. Where she was received by her loving Heavenly Father. Mayella came to this earth to bring joy, happiness. She learned of selflessness from her parents, endless and unconditional love. Sisters and a brother who loved her fiercely. She showed strength, beauty and what a tender spirit she was from heaven to the rest of those who worked and cared for her while she was on this earth. Touching the lives of all of those she met and who had the honor of encountering this sweet spirit during her short time on this earth.

During this time Mario was not able to work. Unfortunately, during difficult times in life, everything else is still moving and happening while yours has stopped. Everyday needs and expenses add up, and unexpected life curveballs come.
This is where you the co-worker, the friend, the church member, the neighbor and the loved ones come in. To help ease the financial burden of coming living expenses, hospital bills, funeral costs, transportation, and everyday needs please consider donating to The Rodriguez Family. No donation is too small. Every little bit helps!
These funds will help them through this difficult time, allow them to be with their children who are also mourning, be with family and allow them to focus on what is truly important in this life. This is a wonderful opportunity to be the answer to so many prayers. In lieu of flowers please consider using that money for the support of the family.

A memorial Service is being had Monday, January 14th at 6pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on 5835 Central College New Albany, Ohio 43054.
Following that service Mayella and her family will be going to Minnesota for another Service and burial.
Funeral services in Minnesota will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on 1420 29th Ave. N St. Cloud, MN 56303 Saturday, the 19th of January at 9:30 a.m. there will be a visitation hour followed by the Funeral and burial at 11:00 a.m. Lunch to follow.
Thank you all in advance for your prayers, kindness and generosity to the Rodriguez Family.
Sincerely -A Friend.
