It is with unimaginable heartbreak that I share the passing of my husband, Max Chesnoff. Max was everything to me. My world, my soul, my best friend, and my purpose. I was lucky enough to share 9 beautiful years with him, with 3 of them as husband & wife. Our 9 years together were filled with so much laughter, love, and adventure.
Throughout our years together, I had the privilege of watching him grow not only as a partner but as a professional. Max poured his heart and determination into building a successful HR business, serving more than 20 behavioral health facilities across Southern California. His ambition and vision were matched only by his integrity and compassion. He truly cared about the people he worked with and the difference his work made in others’ lives. I am endlessly proud of the man he was becoming and all that he achieved, both personally and professionally.
Max was an incredibly kind, gentle, and gifted soul. Whether it was golf, DJing, motorcycles, cars, tennis, or his deep love for our cats, he always approached everything he cared about with dedication and heart. He had a remarkable drive to master everything he loved and a contagious enthusiasm that inspired everyone around him. Max knew how to work hard and play hard. He poured himself fully into his passions, but he also knew how to have fun, laugh, and make life feel joyful and exciting. People were often drawn to his warmth, empathy, and authenticity. He had a rare ability to make others feel seen, understood, and valued.
His passing on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, was sudden and deeply unexpected, leaving an unfillable void in our hearts. I am still finding the strength to move forward while honoring his memory in every way I can.
This fundraiser has been created to help cover the costs of Max’s funeral and memorial service, allowing friends, family, and our community to come together to celebrate the beautiful life he lived. Any contribution, no matter how small, means the world to us and will go directly toward giving Max the loving tribute he deserves.
Hi funeral will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025. As we have had a large number of individuals who have expressed interest in attending, we ask that you please RSVP at the link below by Sunday, November 9, so that we may do our best to prepare adequately:
To everyone who has reached out with compassion, memories, and support, I want to express my deepest gratitude. Your love has carried me through the darkest days. I know Max would be so touched to see how deeply he was loved.
With love & gratitude always,
Cathy Chesnoff
