Hello, my name is Michael and it is with a heavy heart that I must announce my younger brother Maurice Shane Scott a devoted father and husband was tragically taken from us on December 17th 2025 at the young age of 35.

He leaves behind his wife Rachel of 15 years and his 3 children Elayna 16 Maurice Jr 7 and Elyse 6 and his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and pets.

Born June 15th in Harvey Illinois we were raised to take care of each other no matter what and we’re extremely close knit unit. We also lost our Mother December 28th 2023 and it has taken a enormous toll on all of us but I know in my heart my brother took it the hardest.

He was unique, fascinating, and jokester. He loved animals and a man of many talents with an unwavering spirit to match. He worked extremely hard and was the glue that held our family together and with him and I being born 1 year apart I have truly lost my best friend. My brother and Fiancé where engaged to be married and just recently bought a home.

I come to you all with no pride and ask for your assistance with burial expenses and financial support for his wife and kids to help navigate this difficult time.
