On November 25, 2025, our family suffered a loss that changed our world forever. My brother, Matthias, only 30 years old, was pronounced dead — a moment that shattered our hearts and left a void nothing can fill. Matthias was a devoted father, a loving son, and a brother whose presence felt like home. His laugh, his loyalty, and his ability to make anyone feel seen will never be forgotten. He leaves behind two sons — one precious little boy still here with us, and another beautiful son already in heaven, now welcoming his daddy into eternal peace. His love for his children was pure, fierce, and unwavering.

Matthias is also survived by a family who adored him beyond words: his mother, now carrying the unimaginable grief of losing her child; his 2 sisters; his 2 brothers; his 3 adopted brothers; his 10 nieces; his 3 nephews; and his 2 great-nephews. Every one of us carries a piece of who he was — his courage, his humor, his loyalty, and his heart. This sudden tragedy has placed not only emotional strain on our family, but significant financial hardship as well. We are raising funds to help with funeral and memorial service costs, burial or cremation expenses, support for his children, support for his grieving mother, and unexpected costs that come with a sudden, heartbreaking loss.
