Honoring Matthew Studd and Supporting His Family
Donation protected
Christians and Patriots across Tennessee have been saddened to hear of Matt's passing on Friday, October 15 after several weeks fighting the evil Coronavirus.
Matt served countless people in a myriad of ways, including: serving in the Marine corp; serving in many roles in his church; serving as the Chairman of the Cannon County Election Commission for many years; serving in leaderships positions in various conservative groups; providing free gun training and serving as range-master at many gun-related events and fundraisers; supporting candidates for local and state elections.
But most of all, Matt was an encourager. He encouraged people one-on-one and in groups, particularly in the search for truth. He always made time for people.
Matt leaves behind his wife Nancy and two boys still in his house (names and ages withheld). Nancy left the workforce many years ago to raise their two sons. Nancy and the boys were dependent on Matt's income as a "carhaulogist" -- hauling cars on those huge 18-wheeler trailers. Matt was out of work for about two months before passing, placing a significant financial crunch on his family. They have immediate and short-term financial needs we would like to meet.
We know that there are many people out there who did not get a chance to return some of the many favors Matt did for them. You can now return those favors by serving Matt's family in their time of need. All funds will go straight to Nancy and will be distributed as they are received.
Here is Nancy's wonderful statement about Matt (from Facebook):
Yesterday, after a long and difficult fight to beat the evil that covid can do to a body, I had to say goodbye to my husband, friend, father of our two boys...and the father of the older children and grandpa. He was a godly example, faithful friend, proud Marine and true Patriot. A man who had strong convictions and stuck with them and had a passion to defend the future of the USA and the basis upon which it was founded. His belief in God and the relationship he had with Christ was foundational to all he friendships and something he wanted all he knew to experience. There is only one of him... I have been honored to be his wife, and to witness how extensive his influence has been. I pray as we figure out how to handle each day as it comes that the passion he demonstrated will live on and motivate each of us to seek a stronger relationship with God, stronger connection to each other and the drive and passion to return this country to the Christian foundation if was developed upon. God bless each of you... treasure your memories, and move forward to do the work before us.
