Hello everyone, this is Peter, PJ, peaches however you know me.

I am starting this GoFundMe for the amazing man in the picture above, my older brother Matthew McDonald.

He Passed away Sun 07/20/25

He was fighting for time against end stage liver disease. He fought hard even when it would have been easier to give up.

Anyone who met Matt usually the first, and probably the second and 20th time would call him quiet, humble, kind, thoughtful, and brooding. After you finally got to sit and have a conversation just you and him, and he cracked the door into his soul; you found a funny, smiling, loving, dreamer.

He was passionate about 4 things: his heritage as Scotsman of Clan MacDonald, Pirates, tattoos, and cats (his cats specifically).

Our family does not have the means to cover the funeral costs and give Matthew a memorial and send off that he deserves. In addition Matt's dad, our dad, is not able to work while we grieve through this process.

The funds raised will go first to giving my brother a fitting memorial at a place and time where family and friends can say goodbye. Secondly to help support our mom & dad with groceries and bills for a couple weeks. Lastly, my brother's last wish and has been his dream to go back to Scotland. It is our intent to fulfill this wish and let him loose to roam the Highlands.

Our family is beyond thankful and humbled by the outpouring of prayers and love from the multitude of people that knew and loved my brother and our family.
