Mathew was a bright, funny, and kind-hearted ten-year-old who brought so much joy to everyone around him. Even after he lost the ability to walk and talk due to brain cancer, he found ways to make our family laugh and smile. Mathew was obsessed with Pokémon and always found happiness in the little things, reminding us every day of the power of love and resilience.
He was diagnosed with a midline diffused glioma on June 27th, 2023. The doctors told us he had only six months to live, but we refused to give up hope. We tried everything to help him fight, from radiation treatments to daily walks, bubble baths, and making sure he enjoyed all his favorite foods and activities. Despite the challenges, Mathew’s spirit never faded. He spent months in the hospital, bravely enduring procedures and setbacks, until he was declared brain dead on June 17, 2025. Losing Mathew has left a hole in our hearts that can never be filled.
We never imagined having to plan a funeral for Mathew, but we want to honor his ten years of life with a beautiful service. Any support—whether it’s a donation or simply sharing our GoFundMe—means the world to our family. We are grateful for every gesture of kindness as we try to give Mathew the farewell he deserves.
