In Loving Memory of Mary – Honoring Her Legacy at JPD

As many of you know, my mom, Mary, was deeply passionate about fitness and made a lasting impact through her work at the Joliet Park District. She wasn’t just an employee, she was a source of encouragement, strength, and kindness to everyone she met. Whether she was leading a class, offering a listening ear, or simply sharing her smile, she brought energy, heart, and joy to the community.

Growing up, I saw firsthand how much she loved her work and the people she supported. JPD wasn’t just a job, it was a place of connection, purpose, and pride. She poured so much of herself into the community, and the legacy she leaves behind is both meaningful and enduring.

In partnership with the Park District, we’re organizing a tribute to celebrate her legacy: a bench and plaque placed outside the facility she loved so dearly. This memorial will serve as a quiet, lasting reminder of her presence, her impact, and the many lives she touched.
