Our nana, Martha Noah Bryant, affectionately known as La India Loca, is one of the strongest people we have ever known. She has lived a long, joyful, and deeply meaningful life, full of love, laughter, and resilience. She beat cancer. She kept going when life tried to slow her down. She loved loudly and unapologetically.
Recently, her health took a sudden turn. After developing pneumonia and blood clots, our family has been told she will soon be transitioning into hospice care. While our hearts are breaking, we are holding tightly to what matters most right now: honoring her wishes while she is still here with us.
Martha has a very specific vision for her burial, one that reflects her culture, her spirit, and the life she lived. More than anything, we want to give her the peace of seeing that vision come together, knowing she will be laid to rest exactly how she wants, surrounded by dignity and love.
She has been so strong for so long. Now, in this moment, we want to be strong for her.
If you are able, we humbly ask for your support. Donations will go directly toward burial arrangements and fulfilling Martha’s final wishes. Any amount helps, whether it’s a donation, a share, or a prayer. Your kindness will help us give her the farewell she deserves and the comfort of knowing it’s taken care of.
Thank you for standing with our family during this incredibly tender time.
With love and gratitude,
Our family
