Honoring Martin Spillman's Life & Legacy
Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart we must announce that our father, Martin Joseph Spillman, has passed away at the age of 72 on May 31, 2023 in Wildomar, California. His passing comes after a 3 year battle with Pulmonary Hypertension. We are asking for donations in leu of flowers to help with memorial expenses as well as to support our mother during this time.
Martin was a great husband, father, papa, brother, friend and leader. He had an unshakable passion for this world and the people within it. He took these roles with him wherever he went; his light effortlessly shining on all those around him. He had a zeal for music and an itch to see the world. A day never passed where he wasn’t ardently finger drumming on the nearest surface or recounting his days on freshly powdered mountains and sun bleached beaches.
In March of 2021, he was diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension, a rare disease that affects both the lungs and heart. He was immediately put on supplemental oxygen and had to step down from his work.
Despite the ferocity of the disease and expense of treatment, he maintained a stark optimism and humanism that adorned every interaction he had. He was impossible to disenfranchise and never faltered in his faith of this world.
Many of you have reached out asking if you can help in any way so we are asking for your support to help cover funeral and memorial expenses, and to get our mother back on her feet as she loses essential income and takes time off of work to grieve. Any amount will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your support.
With love,
The Spillman Family
