Martha Odom was a vibrant 17-year-old high school senior at Ascension Episcopal School in Lafayette, Louisiana. She was a talented writer, a graceful dancer, and a true Dr Pepper enthusiast. Martha was set to attend the University of the South, where she planned to study English and creative writing, following her passion for storytelling and the arts. Her family, friends, and community are heartbroken by her sudden and tragic loss after she was shot and killed in the Mall of Louisiana in Baton Rouge.
Martha’s parents, Brooke and Mike, and her younger sister, Maggie, are facing unimaginable grief. In the midst of this tragedy, we want to honor Martha’s memory in a way that reflects her spirit and dreams. We hope to create a scholarship fund in her name, supporting other students who share Martha’s love for writing and creative pursuits. This scholarship will help keep Martha’s legacy alive and inspire others to follow their passions, just as she did.
We invite you to join us in supporting and honoring Martha’s memory by helping her family build this scholarship fund. Your generosity will not only help the Odom family during this difficult time but will also ensure that Martha’s light continues to shine through the lives of others. Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support.
