Honoring Mark Dybis & All Donors & Donor Families

Donation protected
In the United States, 17 people die per day die on the organ transplant waiting list due to a shortage of available organs for transplant.

Many individuals are choosing to heroically volunteer to become living donors to meet this shortage and give hope and new life to those waiting on the transplant list.

In February of 2019, I was added to the organ transplant waiting list due to a rare auto-immune disease, primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC), that caused my liver to fail.

On November 25, 2019, my brother-in-law, Mark Dybis, became my living liver donor and angel on earth when he gave me a portion of his liver and a second chance at life to continue to enjoy amazing moments with those I love.

Here is video link to our story as we celebrated our 1 year transplant anniversary in 2020.

On October 17 of this year, I will be running the Detroit Free Press Half Marathon to honor Mark and all living donors for their tremendous gift of life and to raise funds for the Transplant Life Foundation and Team Michigan Transplant .

Thanks for your help and support to eliminate the wait and ensure that no one in the future dies on the transplant list awaiting an organ.
