Today, our Northeast Florida horse community lost an incredible man far too soon. We are all shocked, heartbroken, and struggling to process the sudden loss of our dear friend, Mark Chesser.

Mark was more than a farrier to so many of us. He was one of the kindest, sweetest, and most caring people we have ever had the privilege of knowing. His dedication to horses and the people who loved them was evident in every single thing he did. Mark worked tirelessly to care for our horses, always showing patience, compassion, and genuine love for the animals and their owners alike. He never hesitated to help someone in need, offer encouragement, or lend a hand wherever he could.

Mark’s passing leaves behind an unimaginable void for his wife, Joann, their children, and his mother, who lives with the family. Joann is now facing the overwhelming burden of caring for their family while navigating this devastating loss, and we want to help ensure she has the financial support needed to cover bills, services, and everyday expenses during this difficult time.

During this incredibly difficult time, we are asking the horse community and anyone whose life was touched by Mark’s kindness to come together and support the Chesser family.
