Our hearts are heavy as we create this GoFundMe today, but our family is in an impossible situation.

On January 21st, Mark Anthony Garcia was admitted into the hospital. After a week of fighting harder than anyone could have imagined, at the way too young age of 24, God called him home. On January 28th, 2026, we lost an extraordinary and beyond-valued member of our family. Mark Anthony was such a sweet soul. He was funny and creative. He always had a smile to share and a joke to tell. He cared about everyone and did his best to give help wherever it was needed. He was a deep thinker and a talented musician who dreamed of sharing his music with the world.

Mark was a friend to many, a cousin, a nephew, a grandson, a brother, a son, and a father of two amazing kids that he loved beyond measure.

If you know anything about our family, you know that 8 short years ago, we had to lay Mark's little sister, his twin as he called her, to rest at the age of 14. Though we know they are now together in heaven, we also know he would want nothing more than to lie beside her here on earth. With Mark Anthony being so young, he didn't have any life insurance, so to give him such a resting place is going to be far above our means. As the prices of everything else have gone up, funeral costs have become astronomical, and we want to send him off in the way he deserves. We are raising funds in every way we can think of—car washes, meal stands, etc.—but this is likely our best way to meet our goal, and every dollar will help.
