Honoring Marites Ople Abriam: Support Her Final Journey

Donation protected
Hello dear friends and family—This is Kiera and Lance, and we are the children of Marites Ople Abriam.

I regret to inform you that our dearest mother has passed away on November 20th, 2025, at around 5:30 am. She was medically diagnosed with high blood pressure for some time now, which may have resulted in her going into cardiac arrest and regretfully fell into a heart attack.

This was unexpected, and the shock still lingers in all our minds, bodies, and hearts. During this time, we are all still processing and grieving as we move forward and assume the responsibility of taking care of our beloved mother and laying her in her final resting place.

I’d like to take this time to share our mother’s life and the legacy she left to her children, her family, and her dearest friends, whom she kept very close to her heart and spirit whilst living her wonderful, whole, loving, and resilient life in this world.

—————————

Marites was born on May 23, 1970, in the city of Manila in the Philippines. She was born into the arms of her father, Santos (Louie) Abriam, and her mother, Marilou Sta Cruz. She was raised in love with her sister, Mariline Abriam, by their late grandparents, Francisco and Carolina Abriam.

As a young child, Marites’ gifts of intelligence and bubbly personality began to show. As she excelled in her education in the Philippines, she continued to flourish in developing her own life as she immigrated to the USA in 1985 with her sister Mariline, who was taken into the care of their late aunties, Miss Helen Mortera and Miss Zosima Cabebe where she continued her education and remained at the top of her classes.

A year later, their mother moved her and her sister to the East Coast to be reunited in the care of Her mother and other guardian, Tommy Crosby.

She continued her education at Peabody High School, where she met the future father of their son, Garrett Williams. High school sweethearts, they gave birth to their son, Lance Williams, in 1988. As told, our mother was the talk of the town of Pittsburgh, PA. Exuding beauty, humor, and intelligence, she was a young woman that every woman wanted to get to know and every man wanted to be around. Everything about her was so natural; she became popular and had no issues nestling after such a big transition.

A couple of years passed, and she had an opportunity to move back to San Jose, CA, to help her sister, Mariline, further her education.

Six years later, she met Adonis Bulatao, with whom she gave birth to their child, Kiera, in 1994. She resided back in San Jose, close to her aunts, and raised both her children before stepping back into the real world.

Being a career-oriented woman herself, aside from raising her children as a single mother, she began to explore her skills and pursue real estate. She found education and mentors who helped shape her to become very successful in her venture.

In 1999, she moved to Sacramento, CA, and purchased her own home, where she continued her career and became one of the top real estate agents in the Sacramento area, and the rest was history.

Expanding her work ethic into the Bay Area continuing her Real-Esate as a broker and an Entrepreneur, she moved back to San Jose and settled, beginning to create her legacy for her children and family. Having accomplished her goals and desires, she purchased both her estates in San Joaquin County, where she resided until her last days.
