Thinking about how to write about Maria, about how to consider her absence, is something we just weren't prepared to do. She has been a profoundly important friend to so many people, warm, generous, with an infectious sense of fun and enthusiasm. But more importantly, Maria was the anchor for her family, for Brad, Olivia, and Vanessa. Her sudden death leaves behind an insurmountable void.
