Maria was such a strong and kind person, loved by so many and loving to many others. It didn't matter if you were blood family, or someone she'd just met that same day. She would always invite everyone into her home. She was the most perfect embodiment of "mi casa es su casa." Whether it was to have a chat with coffee, or a sip of tequila singing lyrics with a mariachi in the back yard, you were always taken care of in her home.
Her battle with the returning cancer was so difficult, but also very short where she is now resting in a peaceful place. The loss of an amazing mother, wife, and friend to so many this week has left us in a tough place where we've quickly needed to plan the arrangements of her funeral. Any contribution toward the arrangements for her final resting place would be greatly appreciated. We also appreciate everyone who has signed up for the meal train for our family, gracing us with food for the last several days. The support we've received means the world to us.

María era una mujer muy fuerte y amable, querida por tantos y a su vez ella amaba a mucha gente. No importaba si eras parte de su familia de sangre o alguien que ella recién hubiera conocido, María siempre invitaba a todos a su casa. Ella era el ejemplo perfecto del dicho “mi casa es su casa”. Ya sea para platicar tomando una taza de café, o disfrutando un tequila cantando con un mariachi en el jardín, a los invitados siempre se les atendía de lo mejor en su casa.
Al regresarle el cáncer, su lucha fue muy difícil pero por un período muy corto, por lo que ahora está descansando en paz. La pérdida esta semana de una madre increíble, esposa y amiga para tantos, nos dejó en un lugar difícil, teniendo que planear rápidamente su funeral. Cualquier contribución hacia los arreglos de su lugar de descanso final sería inmensamente agradecido. También agradecemos a todas las personas que se han registrado en la cadena de comidas para nuestra familia, agraciándonos con comida por los últimos días. El apoyo que hemos recibido significa muchísimo para nosotros.
