It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Maria Guzman. We are extremely devastated that we lost such a wonderful person who we called Wife, Mom, Grandma, Tia, Great Grandma, and Mother-in-law.

On June 3rd, 2025, Maria was admitted to the hospital due to shortness of breath and mobility issues. Doctors performed extensive testing to figure out what was causing those symptoms. Maria was being treated with an IV, antibiotics, oxygen, and other essential medication. Maria was then discharged on Friday, June 6th, and sent home with oxygen. Unfortunately, Maria ended up back in the hospital 2 days later with the same symptoms and started declining each day of her stay at the hospital. Several biopsy tests were performed, and Maria was then diagnosed with Stage 5 kidney disease and a rare form of stomach cancer (along with other health issues). After receiving this news, our hearts shattered. We spoke with doctors and specialists about the plan of care, but they informed us that her cancer was spreading and already too far along for her body to receive chemotherapy and kidney dialysis.

We are asking here today to help us cover the cost for funeral services and expenses to give her the memorial she deserves and a meaningful goodbye surrounded by the people she loved. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a difference. Thank you for your compassion and generosity.
