Our mom, Maria De La Luz, best known as Marisela or "Chela", left this world to shine brightly over us. Her name was a testament to her radiant spirit. Whenever wisdom was sought, whenever a voice of reason was needed, it was to her that we turned to. Her heart, vast and boundless, was larger than the world could contain. Every place she walked into, she graced us with her peaceful presence. She was not just a mother to us, but a sister, an aunt, a father figure, and a beautiful grandma.

Our mom was the strongest person we will ever know. She raised the 5 of us on her own, and did it with love because she wanted the best for us. Being a single-parent was never easy for her, but she kept pushing through adversity and struggles, because all she wanted was for us to become good people in this world.

Our mother loved music and a song that she sang to us, and we will now sing to her grandkids is, “You are my sunshine my only sunshine you make me happy when skies are grey, you’ll never know dear how much I love you, please don’t take my sunshine away”. Never would we have thought that our brightest sunshine would leave us so soon and unexpected but now we get to share our mothers light as she shines throughout the sky. She will never be forgotten as she left a piece of her in each of us. We love you mom, Forever.

This was a sudden loss for our family and we are kindly reaching out to anyone that would like to support us with the financial burdens that this has brought upon us. Our mom always said, "A penny and a penny, make a dollar". She believed whole-heartedly that everything counted, and she never lost Faith that God will provide. Any amount donated will help us give her a proper burial.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, says, "There is a time for everything". Even though, we were not ready to say goodbye, our family can be comforted knowing she is at peace with God watching over us.
