This GoFundMe has been organized by Jerry Hsu, long time friend of Marc's, with the full support and blessing of Marc Johnson's family.

Let’s not pretend he needs an introduction; Marc Johnson’s place among the most original and influential skateboarders the world has ever known is forever secure. His creativity and grace on a skateboard, in addition to his unparalleled determination, created a body of work whose influence will be felt for generations. It is undeniable that Marc changed the world of skateboarding forever.

Though it may not have been apparent to those who knew Marc only through his skateboarding, much of his life was shaped by significant personal struggles.

Despite the joy, purpose, and camaraderie skateboarding brought into his life, the path he followed gradually took an enormous toll.

In his final years, he had lost much of what he had built and struggled to find the help and connection he so desperately needed.

If Marc ever made you smile, inspired you, or brightened your day, we invite you to honor his memory by supporting the family he loved so deeply.

This fundraiser has been established with Marc’s family knowledge and permission to help cover funeral, memorial, travel, estate-related and other expenses arising from Marc’s passing. All funds will go to Marc's primary beneficiary.
