Honoring Manuel: A Family's Call for Aid

Donation protected
Manuel Gonzalez was a devoted husband, father & grandfather. He was a hard working man always up by 4-5am in the morning whether he had work or not, always having so much energy to get on with his day. He always made sure to help his family & friends whether it was a favor for money or helping out on certain tasks. He had such a huge heart. Always made jokes with you just to put a smile on your face whether he knew you personally or not. He always strived to make life easy for us and those around him. He will forever be in our hearts. Never forgotten.

On April 29th my dad went to the hospital due to having severe anemia. After having many blood transfusions the doctors made several scans to see where he was bleeding from. They ended up discovering that he had blood vessels where he was bleeding from. On May 2nd leading into May 3rd the doctors attempted to fix the blood vessels but with any procedures there are risks. The major risk of all was bleeding. Unfortunately, that’s happened to my dad. The wonderful doctors and staff did what they could to save him & thankfully they did. He was still bleeding from the incision sight externally & also internally but day after day he was getting better until his kidney started failing. After him being treated with antibiotics his kidneys were getting better but not in its entirety. The ammonia levels in his body hit a high level that made him confused and nonverbal. We ended up putting him in palliative care. Until May 17th when he gave his last breath.

We ask for any donations that can be made to our family in order to cover funeral costs. We gladly appreciate every dime. God bless you guys. And thank you for hearing our story.
