Honoring Manoj Sapkota: Support for His Legacy and Family
Donation protected
Dear friends and compassionate supporters,
We are reaching out on behalf of our dad, Manoj Sapkota, a 57-year-old Nepali American husband, father, and son, who is currently in hospice care after battling severe complications from an allogeneic stem cell transplant for AML myelofibrosis earlier this year. Myelofibrosis is a rare bone marrow cancer with a very low survival rate, and despite taking good care of his health, he still ended up getting this devastating illness. On October 11th, he was placed under comfort care, and on October 13th, he was transitioned into a hospice house.
Our dad is the life of the party—he’s always been the one to bring a sense of calm, coolness, and joy to any gathering. He’s well-loved by all of our family and friends. Even through the toughest of times, he remained strong, collected, and ready to face whatever came his way. Alongside caring for his own health, has taken care of —his 28-year-old son and 22-year-old daughter—and financially taking care of his 80-year-old mother, our grandmother.
With both of our parents unable to work since early this year, we are raising funds to help cover his funeral costs and assist our mom, Sunita, with living expenses during this difficult time. Any support, whether through donations or simply sharing this message, would mean so much to us.
Thank you for keeping our dad, our mom, our grandma, and our entire family in your thoughts.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Srijan and Sriyashi Sapkota
