Hi, my name is Lazena, and I’m asking for help for my sister, Manica. Many of you know her as Shuggy.
Watching someone you love fade in front of you is a pain I can’t put into words. My sister is fighting stage 4 cervical cancer that has spread throughout her body, and the doctors have told us she has very little time left. Right now, our focus is keeping her comfortable, surrounded by love, and not alone.
But while we’re trying to hold her hand through this, we’re also facing something no family is ever ready for—the cost of saying goodbye.
My sister does not have insurance to cover funeral and burial expenses, and her husband and children don’t have the means to carry this burden. The last thing they should be worrying about during this time is how they’ll afford to lay her to rest.
We are raising $10,000 to help cover her final expenses, including:
• Funeral home services and preparation
• Casket and burial costs
• Cemetery/plot and opening/closing fees
• Transportation for services
• Memorial arrangements (programs, obituary, flowers, etc.)
If there are any remaining funds, they will go toward supporting Shuggy’s children with immediate needs during this transition.
If you can donate, thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you can’t, please share—that helps more than you know. And most of all, please keep Shuggy and our family lifted in prayer. We’re trusting God for strength, comfort, and provision in this moment.
With love,
Lazena
