In Loving Memory of Maleek AKA Leek

It is with extremely heavy hearts that we share the heartbreaking loss of our beloved Maleek, who tragically drowned and was taken from us far too soon.

Maleek was a wonderful brother, boyfriend, friend, and son. He was funny, loving, energetic, and had a way of bringing laughter and life into every room he entered. To know Maleek was to know someone who genuinely cared about the people around him. He was loved deeply by his family, friends, teammates, and everyone fortunate enough to cross paths with him.

Maleek was also a proud wrestler at New Town High School. Wrestling was an important part of his life, and through the sport he built friendships, memories, discipline, and strength that extended far beyond the mat.

More recently, Maleek gave his life to Christ and became born again. His faith became an important part of who he was. He wanted to share the Gospel, spread the love of Christ, and bring others closer to God. We are grateful that, during his time with us, he found a relationship with Christ that meant so much to him.

Although we are devastated by his sudden passing, we want to honor Maleek’s life, his faith, and the impact he had on the people around him.

We are asking for help to cover the expenses associated with Maleek’s funeral and burial. Losing someone unexpectedly is already an unimaginable experience, and the financial burden that comes with making funeral arrangements has made this time even more difficult for our family.
