On the early morning of February 28th, 2026, Malaysha was tragically taken from us at just 26 years old, at her home in Akron, Ohio. The shock and pain of her loss have left my parents and our entire family at a loss for words. We are now faced with so many things to arrange and carry on, all while trying to process this heartbreak. No amount of money can ever ease the pain or fill the space Malaysha leaves behind, but we are reaching out for support to help us through the unexpected financial burdens that come with such a tragedy.

Malaysha Monique Thomas was more than my big sister, she was light and love in every room she entered. Malaysha was the most fashionable person I knew, always setting trends and never following them. She was a true leader, sometimes stubborn in the best way, always doing things her own way no matter what advice I gave her. Her spirit was bold, her laughter contagious, and her heart open to everyone around her. She was a devoted mother to her little girl and boy, a loving daughter, an incredible sister, a cherished niece and granddaughter, and a friend to so many.
