Makenna came into our lives on May 21, 2023, alongside her twin sister Teagan. From the very first day, she showed her parents and everyone around her just how strong she was.

Makenna faced many challenges in her short life, including epilepsy and cerebral palsy caused by brain damage from being born without breathing. But none of this ever stopped her fighting spirit.

Her mother dedicated her life to being Makenna’s full-time caregiver and advocate. Every day was filled with doctor appointments, therapy sessions, and endless love. Her loving mommy and daddy made sure Makenna’s voice was heard and that she received the best care possible. Through that love and determination, Makenna grew stronger each day and inspired everyone who knew her.

Makenna loved Disneyland, sunbathing, train rides, the zoo, aquariums, and being surrounded by nature. Most of all, she loved being held by the people closest to her—Mommy, Daddy, Nana, Papa, and her aunties and uncles. She touched every soul she met in the most beautiful way.

Now in heaven, Mommy and Daddy believe she is finally free to do all the things her little body could not—running, singing, dancing, laughing, and playing.

We are raising funds to help support Makenna’s family during this unimaginable time, including funeral and memorial expenses and allowing them space to grieve without financial stress.
