In Loving Memory of Our Father, Mai Thor

It is with profound sadness that I share the sudden loss of my beloved father, Mai. Just weeks ago, our family was navigating his kidney disease diagnosis, hopeful and determined to fight alongside him. But life had different plans.

What began as kidney disease rapidly progressed to liver failure, and before we could fully comprehend what was happening, he was gone. The speed at which we lost him caught us emotionally and financially unawares.

My dad was a quiet, kind man who worked hard his entire life, always putting his family first. What breaks our hearts most is that he won't be here to watch his grandchildren grow up. He loved those kids with his whole heart, and they adored their grandfather. His grandchildren will grow up with stories of how much he loved them, but we wish desperately that he could have had more years to show them himself.

We are reaching out to our community for support in honoring Mai's memory. Any contribution, no matter the size, would mean so much to us.

Funds raised will go towards the funeral service, burial costs, transportation of his body back to Wausau (as he was in a Milwaukee hospital), and outstanding medical bills.
