On March 25, 2026, our beloved Mackenzie Anne Larivière passed away surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with triple negative breast cancer.
In December of 2022, while pregnant and celebrating her baby shower, Mackenzie discovered a lump that would change everything. Just weeks later, on her wedding anniversary, she was diagnosed with breast cancer while six months pregnant. From that moment on, she fought with incredible strength and determination — not just for herself, but for her baby.
On January 30, 2023, she welcomed her beautiful son, Sebastian, into the world. He became her greatest source of strength and the reason she kept pushing forward through every treatment, surgery, and setback.
Mackenzie underwent chemotherapy, a double mastectomy, and continued aggressive treatment over the next two years. In 2025, she pursued advanced treatment options, traveling to the University of Oklahoma and participating in a clinical trial, always holding onto hope. Even in the face of progression, she met each day with courage, grace, and an unwavering spirit.
Despite every effort, the cancer spread to her lungs, brain, and liver. In March 2026, she was hospitalized in Houston while continuing treatment at MD Anderson, surrounded by family who never left her side.
Mackenzie was a devoted wife to Francois, a loving mother to Sebastian, and a cherished daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend. She is survived by her husband Francois; her son Sebastian; her parents Angela and David Nevill; her grandmother Jerry Nevill; her sister Whitney Wallace and brother-in-law Ben Wallace.
Mackenzie's strength, warmth, and fun-loving sense of humor touched everyone around her. She had a way of bringing light into every room and making people feel at ease — often with a quick laugh or a playful comment. She was the heart of her family, always putting her loved ones first, and her love will forever be imprinted on the hearts of those who knew her.
Now, Francois and Sebastian are left to navigate life without her. Along with their deep grief, they are also facing the weight of medical expenses, travel, funeral costs, and the everyday responsibilities of building a future without Mackenzie. This is not something any family should have to carry alone. By coming together, we can help ease that burden and surround them with the love and support they need during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation will go directly toward helping Francois and Sebastian manage these immediate needs and provide stability as they begin to heal.
If you feel led to give, please consider contributing. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page is another meaningful way to support. Thank you for standing with this family and honoring Mackenzie’s life, her strength, and her lasting legacy.
