Honoring Mac: Support for His Family

It is with a broken heart and an unimaginable sense of loss that I share the sudden loss of my husband, Mac. He was not only my greatest love, but also a best friend and rock for me and our two daughters. His absence leaves an empty space that no one can fill, and the pain is more than we can bear.

He had this glow about him when he walked in the room, and his laughter was contagious. Mac had an incredible talent for music – playing guitar and singing were his true passions; music was his happy place. He had his guitar with him anywhere and everywhere he could manage to take it and was constantly filling the air with his creations. He had the remarkable ability of being able to make people feel with the notes he played and the songs he sang.

As many know, Mac was in an accident 10 years ago that left him unable to work and in an unimaginable amount of pain. Because of that he became the stay-at-home dad and complete rock and best friend for both of his kids. Life has not been easy for us, but he was always our constant. I have worked multiple jobs since just to keep us surviving. He was the reason I kept going and was so encouraging to me.

In the wake of this unexpected loss, our family is facing not only the emotional weight of his passing but also the financial challenges that come with it. We are in need of assistance to cover the costs of necessary services, as well as to help cover my time off work as we grieve.
