Honoring Lynn Vilandrie: Funeral and Memorial

On July 10th, 2024, Lynn Doris Vilandrie passed away.

I'm doing this fundraiser to help with the funeral and other costs associated with Lynn's sudden passing. In the 73 years Lynn lived she made many friends and touched the lives of so many.

At 50 Lynn went back to school and became a hairdresser and colorist and this is how so many of us know Lynn. I was fortunate enough to work side by side with Lynn for 20 years.

How do you describe someone like Lynn? Here are a few examples.

A crazy cat lady.

A rock star.

A force to be reckoned with.

An advocate of flaming red hair.

Someone who had a laugh that would make a room go silent.

Someone who walked like they were on a runway.

Someone who was always down for adventure and fun.

Someone who dressed up for Halloween to the max.

Someone who put live Christmas trees and kayaks in the back of her convertible.

Someone who was the brightest light in every room.

Someone who was unapologetically unique.

A spicy and spirited woman who had the biggest heart and laugh.

A flirt who could make a man turn ten shades of red.

Someone who was always the life of the party.

Someone whose door was open to anyone who needed it.

Our world will never be the same without Lynn. A very bright light has gone from it. It was impossible not to laugh, smile, sing and dance around her. She was non-stop entertainment. We will all miss this amazing lady who brought so much joy. Funds raised will be used to honor Lynn's wishes to be cremated and to have a celebration of life. Any remaining funds will go to her cats who were re-homed by a member of her salon family.
