Luz "Güera" Irene Garcia recently passed away on 3/12/26 due to liver cancer caused by cirrhosis. She was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver May of 2023. She was in the process to be on the list for a liver transplant when suddenly the process had to be put on hold after being diagnosed with endometrial cancer June of 2024. To get back on the transplant list, she received radiation treatments and in February of 2026 she won her battle. Unfortunately, the very next day after being told the great news, Luz and her family were informed that a tumor the size of 6.7cm had formed in her liver causing her to no longer be a candidate for a liver transplant. Luz was ready to fight her new battle, but the cancer spread through her whole liver and due to how aggressive her liver cancer was, she never got the chance to start treatments. Ultimately her time came sooner than expected. She was a fighter to the very end and always stayed positive throughout her journey no matter what her prognosis was. To celebrate her life and legacy, Luz's family would love to honor her with a "Celebration of Life" ceremony. Luz "Güera" Irene García falleció recientemente el 12/03/26 a causa de un cáncer de hígado provocado por cirrosis. Le diagnosticaron cirrosis hepática en Mayo de 2023. Estaba en proceso de ser incluida en la lista de espera para un trasplante de hígado cuando, repentinamente, el proceso se suspendió tras ser diagnosticada con cáncer de endometrio en Junio de 2024. Para volver a la lista de trasplantes, recibió radioterapia y en Febrero de 2026 venció a su enfermedad. Desafortunadamente, al día siguiente de recibir la buena noticia, Luz y su familia fueron informados de que se había formado un tumor de 6.7 cm en su hígado, lo que no elegible para un trasplante. Luz estaba lista para luchar contra esta nueva enfermedad, pero el cáncer se extendió por todo su hígado y, debido a su agresividad, no pudo comenzar el tratamiento. Finalmente, su hora llegó antes de lo esperado. Luchó hasta el final y siempre mantuvo una actitud positiva durante todo el proceso, sin importar el pronóstico.
