From the Loving Family of Luz Maria Maldonado

It is with broken hearts that we share the unexpected passing of our beautiful mother, Luz Maria Maldonado. Losing her has left an emptiness in our lives that we don’t know how to put into words. She was the heart of our family, our safe place, and the person who held all of us together.

Our mom was a selfless, hardworking single mother who gave everything she had, even in moments when she had very little. She taught us strength, kindness, and what unconditional love truly looks like. She never complained, never asked for anything in return — she simply loved us with her whole entire being!

Of all the roles she held in life, being a grandmother was the one she loved most. She embraced it with so much pride and tenderness. Her grandchildren were her world, and she spoiled them with the same love and warmth she gave us. Her smile, her laugh, and the way she lit up around them is something we will carry with us forever.

She worked tirelessly throughout her life, always putting others first. If you knew her, you knew her heart — caring, generous, and full of life. She was the type of woman who would give her last dollar if it meant helping someone else. She never turned away from anyone in need.

As we face this painful reality, many people have reached out asking how they can help.
