Luke Aaron Scarcelli was a beloved son, brother, and friend who touched many lives through his faith and service. He was passionate about helping others, involved in community outreach, homeless ministry, and prison ministry. Luke had a heart for those in need and was always the first to respond, living out his faith every day. He loved the outdoors, playing Risk with his brothers, memorizing scripture with them, and reading the Bible. Most importantly, Luke loved Jesus. He found joy in quiet service and in sharing his faith with others.
One of the most touching things about Luke was his habit of donating to hundreds of causes, even when he had little to give—always wanting to make a difference, no matter how small. His generosity and compassion were truly boundless. You may remember him as a DoorDasher who left sticky notes of scripture on each delivery, as the kind soul who helped you carry things to your car without ever giving his name, or as someone who served you at Saltgrass in Houston, praying for you in the lobby area. He may have even been there with you at Baylor College of Medicine, giving an encouraging word. Luke truly served the Lord in the quietest reverence, always putting others before himself.
Above all, Luke would want his life to point directly to Jesus. As we gather to celebrate his life, we also celebrate the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus this Easter weekend. We would love to have you join us at the funeral service to honor Luke and the faith that guided him.
We are raising funds to help cover funeral expenses and support our family as we grieve the loss of Luke. The costs have been overwhelming, and we want to honor Luke’s memory and give him the service he deserves. Your generosity will help ease the financial burden so we can focus on remembering and celebrating Luke’s life, surrounded by those who loved him most.
Luke was a lover of the Lord, a reader of the Word of God, and a quiet man with a deep love for his friends, family, and especially the Lord. Any support you can offer is deeply appreciated as we navigate this loss together. Thank you for standing with us and honoring Luke’s legacy of faith, kindness, and service to others.
"We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord." 2 Corinthians 5:8
