It pains me deeply to share that my brother, Luis Vargas, unexpectedly passed away on April 22, 2026. Luis was truly an amazing man who cared deeply for the people around him. His circle may have been small, but his heart was huge—he would give you his last cup of sugar or the shirt off his back if he saw you in need. That’s just who he was.

Luis joined the military with a dream of making the world a better place through selfless service. He completed multiple tours, and I was honored to be there for his final homecoming. While he returned with strength, he also faced challenges from PTSD. He fought hard to manage it, but in his final days, those struggles became overwhelming, and he lost the fight.

His passing was sudden and has left our family heartbroken and unprepared.

We are creating this GoFundMe to help cover funeral expenses during this incredibly difficult time. If you are able to donate, please know that every contribution will go directly toward honoring Luis and giving him the farewell he deserves.

Luis will be deeply missed by his son, daughter, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
