My brother Luis passed away couple days ago he fought for his life for may years and he was in the ICU fighting again for his life for the pass 3 months we passed through heartbreaking decisions as we watch someone we love suffer so much and still fighting

Luis had developed pneumonia, kidney failure requiring continuous dialysis, and severe complications that have led doctors to discuss amputating his leg above the knee because it was no longer healing properly. He remains on a ventilator and recently underwent a tracheostomy to help him breathe. His body was exhausted, but his spirit continued to fight.

One of the hardest moments for us was when the doctors asked what Luis would want. In the middle of all this pain and uncertainty, he looked at my sister and squeezed her hand. At that moment he reminded us that he is still here, still fighting, and still holding on to life with everything he had.

Luis was always been a fighter, someone full of love, strength, and faith. Anyone who knows him knows how much he loved life.

The emotional, physical, and financial burden has become overwhelming. We are humbly asking for help to cover his medical expenses, and to get him a wall niche for his ashes and the many unexpected costs our family is facing during this difficult time

Mi hermano Luis falleció hace unos días. Luchó por su vida durante muchos años y estuvo en la UCI luchando nuevamente por su vida durante los últimos 3 meses. Pasamos por decisiones muy dolorosas mientras veíamos sufrir tanto a alguien que amamos y que aun así seguía luchando.

Luis desarrolló neumonía, insuficiencia renal que requería diálisis continua y complicaciones graves que llevaron a los doctores a hablar sobre amputarle la pierna por encima de la rodilla porque ya no estaba sanando adecuadamente. Permanecía conectado a un ventilador y recientemente le realizaron una traqueotomía para ayudarlo a respirar. Su cuerpo estaba agotado, pero su espíritu seguía luchando.

Uno de los momentos más difíciles para nosotros fue cuando los doctores preguntaron qué hubiera querido Luis. En medio de todo este dolor e incertidumbre, miró a mi hermana y le apretó la mano. En ese momento nos recordó que todavía estaba aquí, todavía luchando y todavía aferrándose a la vida con todas sus fuerzas.

Luis siempre fue un luchador, alguien lleno de amor, fortaleza y fe. Cualquiera que lo conocía sabe cuánto amaba la vida.

La carga emocional, física y financiera se ha vuelto abrumadora. Humildemente estamos pidiendo ayuda para cubrir sus gastos médicos, conseguirle un nicho para sus cenizas y cubrir los muchos gastos inesperados que nuestra familia está enfrentando durante este momento tan difícil.
