My dad, Luis Alberto Fontora, was 82 years old when he passed away peacefully in his sleep on the night of May 7, 2026. He had been living with Alzheimer's and dementia, and his passing was gentle, surrounded by the comfort of home. According to the security camera in his bedroom, he left us at about 11:13 pm.
Luis was more than just a father—he was my friend, my companion, and a pillar of strength for our family. In the 1970s, he was a professional soccer player, beloved by his fans, friends, and family. He was a devoted husband and an even better father, always ready to help others whenever he could. He was someone you could always rely on, and his kindness touched so many lives. I will forever remember and miss him deeply.
We are raising funds to help cover the costs of his cremation, necessary permits, death certificates, transportation of his body, an urn, and a memorial service at home. Any support you can offer during this difficult time would mean so much to our family. From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank those who donate to make this possible, and to everyone who knew and remembers my dad. Thank you for helping us honor his memory.
