Hi everyone, I hope this message finds you all in good spirits. As you all may know, my beloved mother Lucia passed away this Christmas. The pain of losing our mother has been like no battle my brother and I have ever experienced. Lucy, as some of you knew her, was not only my mother, she was also my best friend and partner. Lucy was a devoted and caring mother, sister, aunt, and cousin. But most of all, she loved being a grandmother. She was a friend to so many. Those who had the privilege to know her loved her authenticity. She was so sweet and hospitable and never turned anyone who needed help or advice away. She had a peculiar way of telling stories. (And man, there are some good ones.) Many of them were about her time managing the State and Palace theaters in the late '70s and early '80s. She said it was one of the best jobs she ever had. She told stories about her time living in Douglas, AZ. Oh, how she loved her cousins dearly. My mom Lucy worked at GTE and retired from Verizon. She had made so many friends there and remembered everyone to this day. My mom would never forget anyone; she had an encyclopedia-like mind. She was always energetic and spunky, wholehearted, and caring. She will be missed by so many loved ones.
Wow, I could talk about how awesome my mother was all night long; it kind of helps. But the reality is I won't be at peace until my mother is laid to rest. So I ask my family, friends, relatives, and those who knew my mother for your help. I ask if you can please make a contribution to my mother's burial, it would be greatly appreciated.
My brother and I give thanks to you. She will be loved and missed but never forgotten. She will live on through our memories of her. God bless.
