Honoring Louie: Help His Family Heal

Oblock Louie, whose real name was Louis, was a member of the influential rap collective O-Block, based in the South Side of Chicago. Before his tragic passing, he displayed a more peaceful and positive side at times. He was recognized for his loyalty to his friends and community, having a close connection with his peers, and was admired for his calm demeanor despite the struggles surrounding him. Louie’s music often reflected the realities of his environment but also his dreams of a better future. His life, like many others in the area, was marked by both hardship and hope. Unfortunately, his life was cut short, but his memory remains cherished by those who knew him for his ability to navigate the tough circumstances while remaining true to himself. This fundraiser will go towards the grieving family.
