My name is Syain Curtis, and I am Loretta’s great cousin. I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of her daughter, Shoretta, and our entire family during this incredibly painful time.

This loss has been especially hard on her children and grandchildren. Losing a mother and grandmother so suddenly creates a pain that words cannot fully describe. Our family is grieving deeply, trying to process what has happened while also facing the immediate responsibilities that come with laying her to rest.

Loretta passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. We are still waiting on biopsy results to better understand what happened, which has made this loss even more difficult to process.

Loretta was a woman full of light. No matter what life placed in front of her, she remained strong, positive, and uplifting to everyone around her. She loved her family deeply and leaves behind daughters, granddaughters, grandsons, and many loved ones who are grieving this unimaginable loss.

At this time, our family needs support to bring Loretta home from the coroner and to give her the proper celebration of life she deserves. Unfortunately, we have not been able to properly celebrate and lay some of our loved ones to rest in recent years, and we do not want that to happen again. Loretta deserves dignity, honor, and a beautiful farewell surrounded by love.

All funds raised will go directly toward releasing her from the coroner, funeral and memorial expenses, and helping our family properly honor her life.
