Honoring Lonnie August's Legacy and Love

My name is Matthew August and this GoFundMe has been setup to help with the funeral costs for my father Lonnie August. My dad passed away on 1/7/2025 at the age of 71. He and my mother served simi valley with their vitamin business (The Vitamin Station) of 44+ years. He was a loving husband and father. He was always there to help his customers and his family with whatever they needed.

In the past 2.5 years he was diagnosed with Barrett's esophagitis and had been in hospitals and nursing homes and had dropped weight from 190 to 128 and lost vision in his eyes. at one point he lost the ability to do what he loved most, which was drive as he developed vision issues and dementia.

I loved my father and loved his amazing ability to navigate anyone through anything. 2 years ago when i took my road trip I had a difficult time going from Gallup NM to Tulsa OK. He stayed up with me and helped me find my way. He was always full of fun facts and health solutions and sports stats. I will miss my father more than anything.
