Honoring Liz: Help Ease Funeral Expenses

With a heavy heart, I come to you to share the story of my beloved mother, Elizabeth, or as she would put it Liz. My family and I are seeking your support in honoring her memory during this incredibly difficult time. Throughout her life, my mom was known as a loving, outgoing, courageous woman who always put her family first.

Her journey all started back in 2022, when she was first diagnosed with cancer. She put up a great battle with going back and forth to her chemo and radiation treatments which took a lot out of her. She would always remind everyone she is fighting this battle to watch her grandbabies be born and she did just that. She went into remission for a little while and cherished every moment of it.

In November 2023, she went back for a typical annual check only to find out that the cancer had returned and it spread throughout her entire body leading it to be terminal. We were all devastated and couldn’t believe how rapidly this situation has gotten. As time went on she began a more intrusive chemotherapy that did a number on her. She immediately began to thin out, became lethargic, unable to walk and more. She lost herself. Did that stop her from being the person she was never did it. My mom was the light of the life sick and all. She did amazing things.

However, her journey took the unexpected turn when she was admitted into the hospital on Wednesday, May 15th for blood transfusions. She was complaining of chest pains and was unable to breathe. The doctors believe the best course of action was to intubate her to give extra support. While doing so, she took a turn for the worse and began to code. It took her 5 times to code before she became stable again. In this gap, test were being ran and everything was coming back as normal, giving us hope she could recover but with some minor damages.

She went through the night with peace and the comfort of her family in her ear. The next morning the doctors went to check on her and noticed her blood pressure was dropping drastically. She had then coded for the 6th time. As they work on her for a few minutes that felt like a lifetime enough was enough. She is in pain and suffering. My beautiful mom had gained her wings on May 16th peacefully and pain free.

The funds raised will be used to assist my family with funeral expenses and other essential services that may be needed during this challenging time. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in lightening the burden for my grieving family. We love you all and thank you for anything and everything that you can do!
