Lisa Piechowiak Brenner, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on May 19, 2025, while visiting family in Minnesota, at the age of only 60. The matriarch of her family in Holland, Michigan, Lisa’s only child, Darin, could really use some support to bring his mom home, make funeral arrangements, and to help provide for her grandkids’ future.
Lisa was a lifelong supporter of those in need, both people and animals alike. She never turned away a stray and generously opened her home time and time again. She dedicated her career to helping others as well, serving as a histology technician, preparing innumerable slides to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases over 33 years at Holland Hospital. She had a uniquely special bond with her 10 year old granddaughter, Zaedy, and eagerly worked extra long hours to be able to pay for her equestrian vaulting lessons. She was incredibly proud of her family and friends and made countless sacrifices to support them.
Exuding an innate ability to make people feel special, she took pride in showing her love through her magical baking; she lovingly fed so many who needed a meal, or a special treat when times were tough.
This is the type of cause Lisa would have humbly rolled up her sleeves and pitched in to lend a hand. If you have anything to spare, it would be so greatly appreciated.
