Lisa Mackey was a mother of four and a grandma to seven grandkids. She loved everyone she met, and her heart for giving saw no end. Lisa would give the last penny she had, then somehow find a way to give even more. She carried the burdens of others, walking with them through pain and always striving to make people happy. She met everyone where they were, never judging, and was the rock for her two sisters, brother, children, and grandchildren. Lisa gave gifts and treats to all kids, encouraged them, and spoke life over everyone she met. She was an extremely talented artist, could fix anything, and taught people everywhere she went. She never looked at faults and was the one to call when planning a party, needing help, or just needing to cry. Lisa was known and loved by everyone—she truly had no enemies.
Lisa was married to her husband, Jeffery Mackey, for 41 years. He was her lifelong teammate in everything. Together, they did everything from camping with their grandkids to fixing the house and working side by side to serve others. Their partnership was a beautiful example of love and support, and Jeffery now faces this loss after a lifetime together.
Lisa passed away at 62, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and generosity. Sadly, she had no life insurance or savings, and our family is now facing unexpected funeral expenses. We want to honor her with a beautiful tombstone that reflects her beautiful heart, and cover the costs of the funeral, embalming, and wake. The funds raised will also help my dad with bills that are starting to pile up during this difficult time.
Thank you so much for loving Lisa, because she sure loved you. She knew you, and saw you where you were, and it means so much that you care and want to help and honor her legacy. She would never want the attention, but she truly deserves it. Any support you can give means the world to our family as we try to honor Lisa’s memory and give her the farewell she deserves.
