Honoring Lindsay Adair: Final Farewell

Donation protected
Lindsay Diane Adair, was born Janet Lynn McMurry on the 12th of June, 1985 to Ann McMurry. She was later adopted by Wanda Sanders and Bill Adair through an open adoption process which thereby extended her new immediate family to include her biological family.

During the week of July 7th, her life was cut tragically short, leaving her loved ones nearest and dearest not only to mourn her unexpected departure, but also to settle her affairs. Lindsay never wanted to be anyone's burden, least of all her, to precious son Marcus.

Lindsay was a happy child, a vivacious force of nature, with endless potential. As a child, she loved to dance, sing; like many children, she had aspirations of acting and singing professionally as an adult. Her love of music and dance carried her through life and brought joy to her heart until the last days of her life. Lindsay had a big heart, loved her family, and would give someone the shirt off her back. She had a smile that would light up a room, an unmistakably infectious laugh and she loved 'shenanigans'.

She is preceded in death by her mothers Ann McMurry, and Wanda Sanders; dad William "Bill" Adair; grandparents Pepper & Peggy Young, and Junior & Letha Mae Wilcutt; brothers Billy Clark and Adam Sanders; Great-Nephew Hunter Spanier along with a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is survived by her son, Marcus Cristian Bermudez; sisters: Christie (Jerry) Webster, Cassandra Faye McMurry and Amber Lord; a brother, Michael Weston; nieces: Melissa, Alisha and Nicole Spanier and Joe Webster; a nephew, Brandon Young; 13 great-nieces and great-nephews; countless aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

Lindsay was both a lover and a fighter. She always marched to the beat of her own drum; never caring what people thought. It's that inner strength of hers that others admired so deeply. She wasn't perfect, but no human is perfect. She fought many battles that weren't hers to fight, but fought them she did, bravely, for 39 years. Her death leaves a hole in our hearts, but through our memories we can carry her with us, always.

They say it takes a village. WE are her village. Friends & family I call on you now, on Lindsay's behalf. She needs our help. Our girl is no longer fighting and it's time to lay her to rest. During tough times, we have always been there for one another. Let's come together now as one and show Lindsay we are still here for her, even if we can't say it to her.

The mission is to raise at least $500 to finish paying for the cremation service and an urn for her son. Any funds raised above and beyond our initial goal will then be dedicated for a memorial service to celebrate her life. Any funds remaining after her memorial service will be given to her son, Marcus Bermudez. The family asks for donations in lieu of flowers.
