On January 15th, 2020 we lost someone more special than words can describe. Linda was always the strongest person in the room even when she had every excuse not to be. Cystic Fibrosis, a genetic fatal disease, is something she lived with her whole life. She was poked, cut open, forced to take medication & endure treatments, plus so much more. She spent many years of her life at Children’s Medical Center for weeks at a time. She didn’t get to have many friends or finish school due to this, but she made the best of it anyway. Her disease took and took from her but one thing it gave her was fight. She fought till the very end and she wasn’t ever going to give up. In these last 42 days she gave it all she had and was never alone. The brief hour we had a gap where someone left and another was on their way is when we believe her soul left. The machines at that point we’re keeping her flesh alive. She protected us from that even in death. She loved and cared for so many, touching lives everywhere some she’d never even met, and I know she’s dancing in Heaven giving God all the sass right now free of suffering. She’s watching over us and protecting her sweet nephews and will forever be missed. She lives on in our hearts forever and we’ll cherish her memories of laughter and joy always.
