Linda Babbitt Monheit was, above all else, a lover of music. In her memory, we're funding a named Scholarship through the Phoenix Children's Chorus. Linda loved teaching music to the next generation, and we hope you'll contribute to honoring her legacy.

Among Linda’s many passions, all of which she approached with vigor and energy, two stand out: her love of singing and her love of children. She gloried in teaching the stories of the great operas to kids, explaining the characters’ personalities and motivations while presenting the immortal music of these classics.

As a tribute to Linda’s memory, and as a gift to children who otherwise could not participate, we have established a scholarship in her name to the Phoenix Children’s Chorus. This organization provides high-quality singing instruction, ensemble preparation, music reading skills, and a unique experience that allow children to grow in knowledge and joy as they shine as performers.

We have set a goal of two years’ worth of scholarships, but any donation is welcome. Linda would be thrilled to know that her family and friends are remembering her by providing the gift of music to children in need.
