Honoring Lily: Support for Her Memorial

My name is Cindy Martinez and on the evening of 1/09/2025, my family and I lost our beautiful mom, Lillia Armenta Marin, who liked to go by the name of “Lily.” We are thankful to be surrounded by family and friends of hers who are more than willing to help with her service expenses. This was unexpected for us, and we were in an already challenging financial situation as is. For this reason, we’ve decided to create a GoFundMe in hopes of raising a little more in funds so that we may plan a worthy service for her free of financial constraints. A few words about our mom:

Despite her small frame, she had a strong and bold personality. As a young immigrant, she worked very hard for many years in order to provide for her family. Her granddaughter loved to see her the most out of any of us and would always laugh the most with her around. She was crafty and creative when it came to DIY projects, and she loved tending to her potted plants. And she loooved feeding me cookies. Didn’t matter whether or not I refused them; she was always insistent on splitting a pack of them with me. I think this life was unkind to her in many ways, but I have faith that she’s made it somewhere beautiful, and I only hope she can feel the love many of us still have left to give her.
