With broken hearts, we share the devastating loss of Lidiya Rusev—a devoted wife, loving mother of 12, cherished grandmother of 15, and beloved sister—who passed away unexpectedly after open-heart surgery. She was the heart of her family, a source of unwavering love, faith, and strength.

Lidiya was an incredible wife to her husband, Vasily, with whom she shared 42 years of marriage. Their love was built on faith, devotion, and selflessness. She was his greatest blessing, always by his side, and together they created a home filled with warmth and generosity.

She had a heart of gold and was always in prayer for others. If she heard someone was in need, she would give whatever she had to help—without hesitation. She welcomed everyone into her home as family and adored her children and grandchildren more than anything.
