Thank you to everyone who has expressed the desire to contribute to Lester’s Celebration of Life service. We are truly grateful for your support and honored to share this opportunity to show love through the gift of giving.
Lester found his calling in opticianry, becoming a licensed optician and working for both Walmart and Sam's Club. At Sam's Club, he thrived and made lasting friendships with his coworkers and made a real impact on the members he served. He was known for going beyond professional exchanges, creating a safe and welcoming environment where his clientele felt comfortable sharing their life experiences—whether it was a wedding, the birth of a baby, or the loss of a loved one. Even children glowed with excitement and anticipation, knowing Lester would greet them with the 'highest' of fives or a small toy to brighten their day.
Lester was a shining light. His smile was contagious, and he could make a joke out of anything. He was a perpetually positive person, often shifting the atmosphere when he walked into the room. Lester was an avid sports fan, enjoying football, basketball, baseball, and tennis. His warmth and kindness touched many lives, and he was truly celebrated by all who knew him.
Unfortunately, Lester suffered cardiac arrest on December 3, 2025, while at work and was transferred to Torrance Memorial Medical Center, where he passed away 21 days later. This loss has left a deep void in our lives.
Lester leaves behind his mother, Linda, his wife of 11 years, Lauren, his 16-year-old son, Tristin, his brother, Andre, his sister, Leslie, as well as extended family and many friends.
The family appreciates the generosity of those who have asked to give, sympathy cards, calls of condolences, thoughts and prayers as we reflect on Lester's memory.
Thank you and join us honoring Lester's memory and legacy.
